Love this idea! I'm a bit behind with the Divine Comedy read-along, but I hope to catch up in the coming week. However, the articles you created on this book are amazing! So much work and thought went into it, you can really sense this while reading. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm.
Thank you so much for your kindness Maria! People do not know how much these kind of words mean to a writer. Writing is very solitary activity, and sometimes it feels like a sincere shout into the void. Thank you for letting me know that it is not! :)
Btw, I just discovered Simone Weil last week, and you are right, so much to reflect on when reading her work. So far, I have only read The Power of Words, but it was very interesting.
Excited to see the new sections and book recommendations! Always enjoyed these on YT, looking forward to the return and an expanded TBR. Visionaries is already on the top!
I've missed your recommendations! (Loved Age of Wonder. Sits between Magnificent Rebels and Keats' letters on my shelves. Thank you so much for MR by the way.)
Andrea Wulf is a wonderful writer! There are so many books of that kind coming your way, Richard Holmes was an exceptional writer as well. His book was recommended to me by staff member at Daunt Books in London. That guy had really great taste in books.
Very excited for this ! Vashik, you seem to have a wealth of wisdom and I’m so glad you’re sharing it with the rest of us. I’d love to better understand how you started on this journey and your approach to picking which books to read.
Hello Gemma! Thank you so much for your warm words. I will try to write a piece touching the subject you mentioned, I just want to find a right angle, so it doesn't feel ego-centric. :) Here's one of favourite pieces I have ever written, it might shine light to what drives me: https://armenikus.substack.com/p/in-search-of-my-grandfathers-library
Thank you so much Pierre! :) Please, once some of the posts will land in your inbox, if you get a chance drop me a message with which one you preferred the most. Letters? Podcast? :)
The world is always messy, always turned upside down - and to dive into the depths of writing and literature against that backdrop is a remarkable act of insight and courage. Thank you, Vashik, for creating these opportunities with such mastery.
I can't wait for the letters section, this is the topic I'm most interested to understand. Specially after discovering you Devine Comedy read along, with your analysis, notes and philosophical exercice I think you'll do a great work. But for now I'll continue the read along 📖
Instant thought I have to share ~ What of a response column of the letters to past 'thinkers.' Altho hypothetical, be fun to respectfully respond as if.... Respect being the key to such.🤷🏽just a thought on your provided inspiration. Thanks any which way. Looking forward to the letter resurgence...Ausome ✉️ ✍🏽

I look forward to reading more.

Thank you so much David! Would love to hear your opinion on Visionaries (the book) and then Visionaries (my podcast episode based on it)! :)
