Absolutely, he's so powerful! Have you ever presented any of Nikos Kazantzakis' books? He is another powerful writer.

I have mentioned him briefly in this article: https://armenikus.substack.com/p/from-homer-to-nabokov-what-every

He is another genius! His 'Freedom and Death' and 'Christ Recrucified' are absolute masterpieces.

I don't know if you have seen the film about him or not. If you have not, please please please watch it. It's incredible!

Thank you so much Ani Jan. Hugo is such a unique writer, I remember picking up Les Miserables in my local library and realising that I cannot put it down. Truly remarkable mind! Recently I found his collection of poetry in English. It’s surprisingly hard to find Hugo’s poetry in translation. I hope you’re doing well! Let me know if there are any interesting books I should be paying attention to!

Dear Harley, I cannot thank you enough for the warm words regarding my writing style. It is all thanks to Muses who sometimes privilege me with their company, inspire me and then fly away. I feel humbled and grateful for your words. I hope I will uphold the standard as much as I can and Muses will visit me more often!

Had no idea that Hugo drew as well, these are magnificent! My favourites are the waves and the octopus. Thank you for sharing, I would give 50 likes if I could!

Thank you so much! Octopus is my favourite as well. Particularly, because of its symbolism of creativity and unconscious.

I was surprised to discover that during his lifetime Victor Hugo was famed for his poetry, which he wrote every day in his life.

“That novel is a drawing painted with words.” Love that sentence. Thank you for sharing this essay.

Thank you so much Georgia. Hugo is incredible. It is so unfortunate that the film adaptation of Les Mis is not that good. I postponed reading the book mainly because I saw the film first. But then one day I picked Christine Donoghuer's translation and I was hooked!

I have to say his drawings are so haunting. When I first saw them they did not leave my mind of weeks. It was such a strange and mysterious feeling that I have not experienced before or after Hugo's drawings.
