They use different surnames but they are still around.

I looked up itβs relationship to Chinua Achebeβs novel and found this analysis of the poem, but found it astonishing that the analysis made no mention of Dante, who surely was the inspiration for both the poem and the novel. But then, I would not have known either if I had not taken up Vashikβs challenge to read the Comedia.
