I want to say that " the meadow of San Isidro " was not painted in 1798, but in 1785, four years before the french revolution.
Although the "black paintings" are important, I want to emphasize that Goya is also famous for many other paintings, from everyday scenes of the people, to famous people of his time, etc: kings, aristocrats, soldiers, etc. He even dedicated a painting to his doctor, Dr. Arrieta
The "black paintings" are recognized, but it is unfair to say that it is the only thing Goya is known for
